These colours are gorgeous in the way they blend together, and yet create such distinct shapes that exude an atmosphere of calm.

I think you should definitely concentrate on painting as art is a wonderful, varied and huge subject. Please don't limit yourself to pencil drawings - you've proven that you can do that well, now enter the bigger and MUCH more wonderful world of colour! There are sooo many artists on DA who can copy photographs really well, but they get stuck in a tonal rut and (I think) get too scared to try colour. Go for it!

I wrote this whole comment to you but then accidentilly deleted it :(

but I was saying:

Thanks a lot for the comment  I totally agree with you.. I actually am busy with painting as well. :) I am busy with a 4 year education and in the third we had to work for a half year in a company. I worked in a company which made wallpaintings and decorations and illusions with painting.. so I learned quite a lot there.. :) and after that I made 2 wallpaintings for commisions myself :) and I will upload some pictures soon from the first one. and we resently learned some new helpfull techniques at school, and I paint sometimes. and at school we also work with different materials for our showwindows and that's really helpfull too :) so it's actually quite funny that you send me this comment, cause a few days ago I was thinking about how much I learned in the passed 2 years, before that I was only drawing and painting something simple, but that's it, and now I draw, paint, and also wallpaintings, I do charcoalsketches in 15 to 30 minutes, I can make realistic looking rocks and walls from foam and cement, and rusty iron with paint and sand.. so I hope to learn many more techniques and I want to improve each one of them :D

I am so glad you are painting. I'm trying to get more into acrylic right now. Will post up some of my work over the next day or so. I look forward to seeing your colour work and what kind of style you are developing!
